Indika - 一間創意料理的印度餐廳,去年HRW時,我們曾到此用餐,當時覺得這裡的料理還滿不錯,也不知為什麼,之后一直沒機會再回來這裡。而在選今年的HRW餐廳時,再次看到並看了它的菜單,覺得Brunch的選項還滿不錯,想說再回來試看看吧!


Complementary: On this day, the restaurant starts us with this awesome, flavorful, spicy yet not too hot lentil curry and the soft warm Naan!! Yum~ :)

才坐下沒多久,可親的服務生送上熱騰騰的印度烤餅,搭配香料味十足略帶點辣味的咖哩扁豆,好吃哦!


1st Course - Shrimp Pakora Chaat - shrimp fritters with a spiced chickpea flour batter, black bean and raspberries, chaat sauces
A refreshing, very summerish fried shrimp salad - the yogurt dressing makes the whole dish pretty light (for ladies who love a light refreshing start ... oh! this is Joe's dish! :P)

印度炸蝦帕可拉頭盤開胃菜 - 我家老白點的,不難吃,由純優若乳調制的沙拉醬,不甜不咸(吃起來沒啥勁),搭配芝麻菜沙拉,感覺像是給瘦女士吃的健康食品。 (剛寫完這句話忍不住偷笑,結果我家老白馬上說這感覺像是在講他壞話的笑聲。。。哇!以后不能在他面前寫啦!!:P)


1st Course - A Chaat Tasting - a deconstructed plate of Indian street favorites
We both ((((love))))) this dish!!! Soooo Yummy!! :) Strongly recommended :)

嗯。。。怎麼翻這道頭盤呀?!就印度風味品嘗頭盤吧!記得裡面有咖喱馬鈴薯、鷹嘴豆、跟吃不出來的其它食材,但最令人感到有趣而且喜愛這道料理,是其中那酸甜爽口的寧檬李子醬。


The crispy shell puffs are stuffed with flavorful spice seasoned stuffing and after pouring in the citrusy plum-kind of sauce (cool way to start the meal), it tastes AWESOME!! ^^ And the little potato salad on the side is another bonus! ^_^

在吃之前,把一旁的酸甜汁倒入裝滿全部食材的一口大小空心脆餅,用手拿起一大口全部吃下去。。。如宇宙爆炸般地在口中爆開,很有POWER的一口料理哦!強力推薦!:)


2nd course - Coconut Walnut Blueberry Pancakes: coconut pancake topped with bananas, blueberries, sauteed in jaggery and cardamon.
Joe's second dish and this is his favorite!! I had a bite and it was pretty good :)

再來是讓我家老白回味好久的椰子香蕉胡桃藍莓薄煎餅,是他這天最愛的一道料理!我嘗了一口,是真的很不錯,不會過甜而且薄煎餅鬆軟,建議給愛吃甜點的sweet tooth們!^^


2nd Course - Chicken Liver Masala on Toast - braised with onions, potatoes, & warm spices
I was going to get the waffle option but after hearing the recommendation for this dish, think I have to try it! Love the flavor and the tender chicken liver (though may be a touch uncooked but guess that's what makes it so tender?! :P)

原想點玉米烤餅,但偏好咸食的我看到有雞干時,好奇加入印度香料的雞干到底是什麼風味,聽了服務生的介紹后,說這是道份量誠懇而且很有味道的料理!好!就它啦!果然,這道雞干料理還滿不錯,略帶甜味的炒洋蔥、看起來還有點生但滿是印度香料跟加了點酒的雞干(嗯。。如果是七分熟會更好!),好吃! ^_^ 面包也滿好吃,只是吃到這兒,我開始飽了!撇開一半面包,把雞干全部吃光光!


The portions here are decent and you will get pretty full at the end of the meal~

覺得這裡的份量,控制得當!不會過多但也不會太少,就剛剛好!兩到四人分食都沒問題,而食量大的人嘛,多吃點面包薄餅吧!


3rd course - Black Pepper Chicken: Black pepper and ginger braised chicken on grilled kale leaves and roasted sweet potato.
Joe ordered this as it has two of his favorites - Black pepper and Chicken!! :) Turns out, it is a good choice as there's lots of flavor in this dish! :)

黑胡椒烤鸡腿 - 老白点的但我也满喜欢的料理,份量足够的烤鸡腿下是一大块豪迈的烤红薯,就算吃鸡肉没吃饱,吃那一大块红薯大概也够了吧!


3rd course - Crab & Shrimp Toast: warm brioche toast baked with cream cheese, mango chutney, crab masala, grilled shrimp
Not bad - I like the two grilled shrimp and generous chunk of crab meat! Though I was surprised from the strong flavor of its cream cheese and it's a taste that I am still not used to.. plus by now, I was pretty full from all the food (and bread!)

我愛海鮮,很理所當然地,我選了這道主食 - 我喜歡帶有印度風味的烤蝦,喜歡其大塊新鮮的蟹肉,但。。。裡面的cream cheese 有種我不是很喜歡的味道!反正我也飽了,把蝦子跟蟹肉全部吃光光!就這樣啦!!后來四周看了下,很多人不是點烤羊肉串,就是印度比爾亞尼雞肉沙拉 (Kashmiri Chicken Biryani),尤其是后者,很多人吃完后常點頭微笑,感覺應該很不錯吧!


4th course - Apple, Fig & Blueberry Cobbler with Saffron Creme
Likes the fruity dessert! :)

這不到兩口的綜合水果餡餅,還滿好吃的~ ^_^


4th course - Carrot Halwa Cake with Blackberry Sorbet
Not bad!! So far, we love all the dessert dishes that we have tried (esp. that Saffron Pistachio Ice Cream which we got to try during last year's HRW! ^^)

這黑加倫冰沙紅籮卜蛋糕也不錯,但實在是太飽而吃不下,還好它HRW的甜點份量不大,最后給我家老白全部吃光光!


Another complementary - ended the great meal with its warm cardamom cookies! :)

結帳時,店家還送上兩塊略熱不太甜的豆蔻餅干,還不錯!食量再大的人,吃到這裡也應該舉白棋投降了吧!至少。。。我家老白就吃不下啦!!哈哈哈!

那麼這裡值得來吃HRW嗎? 我們都覺得這裡的料理還滿不錯,若喜歡吃傳統印度美食,可以到這裡試看看它的創意料理!尤其是它家的甜點,不會太甜而且搭配著某些香料很有味道!這裡的晚餐跟Brunch都值得來試看看,隻是。。。不知道是否要花US$35來吃brunch。這裡的平常周日早中餐也有其特價餐點,可以單點頭盤$9或選三的$25,要不有單點主食$15或選三的$40,建議三到四個好友到這裡試試看。我們。。。應該很快會回來這裡試它的周日Brunch menu吧!

Side Note:
挖塞! 看這幾天寫的食記,真是太佩服我們了!更別提我還有兩篇沒寫叻,唉。。。吃了那麼多外食,下周拜一到拜四真該自己煮啦!!讓胃稍微休息下,好下周末繼續吃吧。。。啊!才講完這句話,感覺好飽呀!
